As the managing partner of AFFA Intellectual Property - Indonesia & Timor Leste, Mr. Dinar manages approximately 60 members of the firm in various locations, such as Jakarta, Bandung, Bali, and Dili (Timor Leste). He has prosecuted various well-known Marks from around the world and assisted the clients to protect their Marks through various institutions, such as the Customs, IP Office, Board of Appeal, the Court of Commerce, and the Supreme Court. By percentage, 98% of Mr. Dinar’s clients are non-Indonesian and it is a testament of how well established the practice is for the last 22 years.
Apart from his duty to the firm, in the past few years Mr. Dinar has also served in various committee roles at the International Trademark Office, such as anti-counterfeiting committee and the young practitioner committee. Mr. Dinar is also a member of Australia-New Zealand Licensing Executive Society, the ASEAN IP Association, the European Communities Trademark Association.
Mr. Dinar has also spoken in various IP events around the world, such as Singapore, Japan, China, the United States, and is also a guest lecturer at various universities and polytechnics in Indonesia.
